Brow artist at Proper Tweeze

The Artist

Emily’s passion for skincare, cosmetics, and fashion has shaped her career as a beauty professional and business owner. As a teenager, she was self-conscious about her bushy brows, often compared to Brooke Shields. It wasn’t until her college years that Emily began to embrace her full, fluffy brows and even encouraged her friends to stop over-tweezing.

Though always interested in the beauty industry, Emily didn’t pursue it right away. She began her college journey as a journalism major at Colorado State University, and after graduation, worked in marketing and public relations. It was her growing passion for brows and beauty that eventually led her to the Denver School of Botanical and Medical Aesthetics, where she earned her Esthetician license. Emily has also completed advanced training in eyebrow design to further refine her craft.

What Inspired Proper Tweeze

The inspiration behind Proper Tweeze came to life one evening when Emily was hanging out with friends, and someone asked for a little "eyebrow help." What started as a casual night of wine and brow pampering quickly turned into a regular gathering. That’s when Emily decided to bring this personalized eyebrow experience to the Denver area, and Proper Tweeze was born.
